Best Wishes for a Happy New Year
1/5/2007

A happy new year!! How are you everyone??? I’ve already stayed for 4 months since I came toDavis. Actually, I can get used to new surrounding which I have to speak only English and go to school for a long way by bicycle very well even if I’m missingJapan. Maybe I think language is the most important to have a passion we want to communicate to people living all over the world. But regrettably I’m sure most Japanese containing my Lab inJapan don’t have a mind they speak English. ・・・・You know・・・・・ I remembered that Somebody rather said some researcher would invent a good translator from Japanese to English absolutely. Therefore, I’m probably worrying about the problem few Japanese are interested in talking English.  I thinkJapan will have to compete with other country.  Of course, I need to practice English until I die. So let’s improve our English together.

By the way, recently I’m very busy because I have to do compatibility of writing a master’s thesis with doing research in Davis.  I will have to keep doing research just before I will leave Davis.  I want to relax in Davis as much as possible and concentrate on preparations to go back to Japan.  Right now, it’s a time of trial if I can graduate.  OK!!!!  I do effort without giving up!!!!!!

Finally, I wonder if I can enjoy Davis life very well although I’m the worst student.  Actually I’ll go back to Japan soon.  So I want to do everything without giving up.

PS I must warn people who want to go to Davis just in case!!  Practice talking English or you will have a lot of trouble as soon as you arrive at Davis.
