Ryukoku University completed a series of R&D projects on environmental impact mitigating materials in two phases over a ten year period beginning in 1996 with the support of the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science, and Technology) Science Research Promotion Project for Private Universities (High-Tech Research Center Project) initiative.
Building on our impressive advances in innovate material and processes and human resource training and development of post-doctoral researchers, research assistants, and graduate students, Ryukoku University's research facilities were upgraded and reorganized in 2006 as the Innovative Materials and Processing Research Center.
